A senior representative of the Scottish Government is to join the board of resource efficiency experts WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) as a non-executive director it was announced today.
Kim Fellows, Deputy Director of Waste and Pollution Division, will represent the Scottish Government. She joins DEFRA representative Neil Thornton.
Announcing their appointment, WRAP Chair Peter Stone said: “WRAP receives significant funding from Scotland and it is appropriate that we represent their interests at board level.
“This appointment will ensure WRAP continues to work effectively and is able to respond to policy developments right across the UK.”
A representative of the Welsh Assembly Government will also join the WRAP board. The appointee will be announced next year.

Biography – Kim Fellows
Kim joined the Senior Civil Service in July 2002. She has held posts in Health Improvement, Sustainable Development, Biodiversity, and Greener Scotland. Kim is current Head of Waste & Pollution Reduction Division, which includes Zero Waste Policy, and SEPA Sponsorship.
Kim is by training a Clinical Biochemist holding a first class honours degree and she obtained a Scholarship to study for a Masters in Calgary, Canada. Kim has over 30 years’ experience in senior management positions of public and private sector organisations, gained before joining the civil service. Main areas of special interest are Integrated Communications and people management.
