Another free course has been organised for residents who are committed to waste prevention. A full-time, two week, intensive course will begin on Monday 10th May in Chichester and places are going fast!
The course is run in conjunction with the University of Brighton and the wide range of topics will include: what to do with waste and how to reduce it, national and local strategies and policies, home composting, food waste, cotton nappies, smart shopping and recycling.
As a fully qualified Waste Prevention Advisor Volunteer (WPA) you will expect to participate in events promoting waste
prevention in West Sussex communities – as many as 138 events in 2008 alone. Some WPAs make home visits to advise and assist in reducing waste in the home. All have an up-to-date Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
