Plastic Bottles ..... Ideas!!
Some readers may have noticed the stunning plastic bottle greenhouse featured on the front cover of the last Green Fingers edition. The innovative greenhouse was designed for a Chelsea Flower Show garden by people with no experience at all.
Have you got a glut?
Even though it seems summer weather has passed us by, our pots, gardens and plots say otherwise. Everywhere you look there is a feast to be had shiny apples, pear tree branches dripping with fruit, red tomatoes just asking to be eaten and lots of vegetables.
Swapping - the new cool
Exchanging goods is not a new idea and most of us can remember swapping beads, toys, cards and even lunches at school.
Eco tips
Our WPA Annie Shergold wonders if everyone is aware of the Friends of the Earth.

Lottie’s Grow your own

Do the pigeons get your plants and mice eat your seeds? Fed up with sowing seasonally?

The answer lies in asparagus! Asparagus takes a bit of planting and once it starts to grow you have to wait a year before you can harvest it, but, and it is a big but, then you can harvest it forever and a day without needing to plant or sow it each year.
